The Next Frontier: Embarking on the $100k Bankroll Challenge.

Article hero image

As we turn the page from the successful $10,000 bankroll challenge, I find myself at the threshold of a new and more ambitious endeavor - the $100,000 bankroll challenge. This week, not one to rest on past laurels, I’ve already dipped my toes into NL500. It’s an amusing start as we broke even, dollar for dollar, in the first session. The bankroll now stands at $12,291, marking the beginning of a significant journey ahead.

In addition to grinding, I’ve been studying with my study partner on blind vs blind strategy. Given its formation frequency and starting pot size, this is definitely a strategic area to focus on.

Stakes and bankroll management plan

  • 5k-12k: NL200
  • 10k-30k: NL500
  • 25k-60k: NL1k
  • 50k-100k: NL2k + mixing in 5k from 80k

This plan is admittedly aggressive. Yet, as I’m not financially dependent on this challenge bankroll, I’m comfortable embracing the swings. In my view, an aggressive approach is key when the goal is rapid growth.

What to expect in terms of updates

I plan to continue the weekly blog updates summarizing my progress. Additionally, I will keep sharing results on Twitter and Instagram. I’m still deciding whether to stick with the post-session updates as I did during the $10k challenge, or switch to a different format. I’d love to hear your thoughts and preferences on this. If you have any input on this, please shoot me a message on Twitter or Instagram.

Stay tuned,
