As the final cards of 2023 were dealt and the last chips stacked, I found myself reflecting on a great start to my “new” journey throughout the year. Week 16, marking the end of this year’s play, was a quieter week with just 3 hours at the tables.

Reflections on the Year

I’m glad to announce that the year wrapped up with a total profit of $7622 for the $10k challenge. The challenge roll now stands at $10951, which means that we’re about $1500 shy of the goal (we need a total profit of 9k for completion). This achievement isn’t just about the numbers; it’s about the journey, the evolution of my game, and the discipline it took to get here.

2023 was a great start to my newfound dedication to the game, particularly by being back in the lab studying Game Theory Optimal (GTO) strategies. Hours spent in solverland paid off, significantly elevating my gameplay.

Looking Ahead

As I stand at the cusp of a new year, I’m filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation. The goal of completing the 10k challenge is within reach, a goal I set out with determination and hope. But beyond that, it’s the continuous journey of learning, adapting, and excelling in the game that truly drives me.

I eagerly look forward to 2024, ready to face new challenges, embrace further growth, and hopefully, celebrate new milestones. To all my fellow poker enthusiasts, here’s to a year of great plays, smart decisions, and remarkable successes!
